Blessed Be began with our founder, Yen, a Singapore-based Vietnamese, and her personal journey through grief and healing. After the heartbreaking loss of her baby girl in 2016 and another beloved two-year-old daughter in 2023, she found that God’s Word was her lifeline - the only thing that carried her through each day. In the midst of profound sorrow, it became the anchor that guided her through the darkest valleys. Through Blessed Be, she hopes to share that same hope and encouragement with others.
In 2020, Yen came across a social media post by Khiêm, a former youth group member who had begun crafting Bible verses from wood. His humble creations deeply moved her. Sensing God’s prompting, she started praying and designing Scripture woodsign alongside Khiêm’s sister, Duyên—a talented crafter with a natural eye for beauty. They were soon joined by Duyên’s then-fiancé, Tín. Together, this small team shared a big vision: to bring God’s Word into homes through handcrafted pieces that speak hope, truth, and encouragement. The workshop was established in Da Nang, Vietnam, and in June 2020, the first Blessed Be board was completed and launched for retail.
Since the workshop primarily employs new believers and young people with life challenges, it has become a place of restoration - offering meaningful work and a chance to break free from past bondage. The team saw this as an opportunity to provide not just employment, but a pathway to healing and hope for youth within the local church community in Danang. The core team committed themselves to discipling and walking alongside these young people, nurturing them not only in their craft but also in their faith.
While the team focused on discipling young artisans and crafting each board by hand, God was opening doors behind the scenes. Christian bookstores across the region began reaching out, becoming key partners.
One day, a store manager from a mega church called Yen unexpectedly, saying, “I’m not sure who gave me your number, but they told me your work is beautiful, purposeful, and one of a kind—we’d love to see it.”
In another moment, a connection to the largest Christian bookstore in Malaysia came through a friend of a college friend and a social influencer Yen had messaged. It was clear: God was weaving every detail together to spread His Word in ways they never imagined.

Meet Founder
Yen founded Blessed Be out of prayer and a deep personal walk with Jesus. Having experienced God’s comfort through His Word during seasons of sorrow and silence, she carries a quiet hope—that each Blessed Be board will bring the same light and healing into others’ homes. Yen is the heart behind every board’s message. In her times of prayer and devotion, she thoughtfully reflects on and selects each verse and word, trusting that the Spirit knows what each heart needs. Many customers have shared how deeply a board’s message resonates with them, often saying, “It’s as though you knew exactly what I was going through.” Yen’s response is always the same: “God knows what our hearts need.”
Through BlessedBe, Yen hopes that each handcrafted piece not only beautifies a space but also becomes a vessel of truth, comfort, and the tangible presence of God.
Meet our Artisan
Khiêm’s journey began humbly - waiting by the roadside for hours while artisans at a large workshop engraved Scripture on his small wood orders. Though his tasks were modest, he embraced each moment as a chance to learn, quietly observing the skilled hands around him. From those patient beginnings, Khiêm has grown into a master of his craft and now leads all BlessedBe craftsmen. His passion for woodcraft shines through every piece he makes. Outside the workshop, you’ll often find him playing guitar at the local church's youth worship nights or delighting in precious moments with his toddler son, whose bright smile lights up every room.

Duyen is our talented designer and one of the main artist behind the beautiful color blends in each of our pieces. Her keen eye for color and detail brings every design to life, turning scripture into memorable works of art.
Her journey with scripture began in a very personal way. As a young girl, Duyen found it difficult to memorize Bible verses - except for one. A simple poster with a verse, displayed in her family’s living room, stayed with her when all others faded.
Today, Duyen pours that same inspiration into her work. Her goal is to create beautiful, meaningful pieces that don’t just decorate a space - they help people carry scripture in their minds and hearts. Through her art, she hopes to make the Word both beautiful and unforgettable.
